Internships available in Elementary Education and Bilingual-Bicultural Elementary Education
The Wheeling Community Consolidated School District 21 experience will give you an opportunity to learn in a large northwestern Chicago suburban school district. The district encompasses five communities with a variety of diversity which you will experience throughout the year.
Located in the Southwest corner of Cook County, the schools have a diverse population with 25 percent limited English-speaking students. This PDS model provides experiences in elementary and bilingual-bicultural settings. The partnership with Wheeling District 21 was established in 1995 making it our longest running PDS program. It has served as a model in many ways for our subsequent PDS partners.
